Jejak Kasih - Zauri Part 2

Initially, there were ten of us travelling to Bangor, North Wales. All of us were the "wanabees" QS. However, we were joined by an additional group of four "wanabees" engineers. It seemed that there were slight mix-up in their college entries. We could only plan but the best planner is Allah.
Three hours travelling on a chartered bus from London, we came to a "rest area" beside the "Motorway". My thoughts (way back in 1979) were "How nice if Malaysia would have motorways and rest areas throughout the country? It will definitely make road travel convenient and reduce the travelling times!". FYI, it was not until 1993 (some 14 years later), when partially completed stretches of "Lebuhraya" (equivalent of UK's Motorway) and a few "R&R" (equivalent of UK's Rest Areas) materialized in front of our eyes. These are some of the positive aspects that we have adopted from our former colonist, however, with some modifications such as the suraus and the wakafs, alhamdulillah.
Upon reaching the sales counter, my mind was wondering, what food I could eat. I dared not touch the freshly prepared dishes nor the obvious labels such as "barbequed beef flavour" potato chips. Finally, a small bag of salted potato chips, a Cadbury chocolate bar and a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice were my choices. (Nowadays I cannot eat these anymore, except for the orange juice - bad for my heart.)
Three hours later, we arrived at Bangor Bus Terminal... to be continued...
